I love Ruby Dixon, but I am not a fan of this book. It was WAY too long, the FMC was an annoying spoiled princess and because it was only from her POV I never felt connected to the MMC. I think the story itself had really good potential but I just didn't like the execution.

Could’ve used an editor. Not good. The longer it goes on, the worse the book gets. I knew what I was getting into but really.

I have so many words for this book. But simply it is so good. I cannot think of a single issue or problem with this book. It was simply perfection. This book actually made me cry real tears. Normally when books make people emotionally, it does not do the same for me. BUT THIS BOOK. Had me actually bawling like a new born. The fmc was so refreshing compared to how a lot of fmc are written in fmc monster romance books. Also I am pretty sure I developed a very real crush on the mmc. Although, at one point I was seething mad at him. But, overall i loved this book to my core. I will be recommending it to all of my friends.

I feel like I know exactly what I'm getting with a Ruby Dixon book. To me, this was just like the Ice Planet Barbarians, but make it vaguely fantasy instead of vaguely sci-fi. It was weirdly long though?? Even when she had massive leaps of time??
