This one was interesting. While on one hand it was the fastest of fast burns, on the other hand it was extremely slow burn on the feels.

So the first few scenes are so well written, but major ick from a HR perspective. However, the writing is so good, you feel completely immersed in the building and the location.
Smut is excellent. I felt a bit like I couldn’t imagine Bill very well, and I’d actually love to know more about the characters in general. Sort of not the point though. A great (ignoring the set up of the first sex scene) speedy smut with better writing than I expected.

This was one of the most fun to read romances I have ever encountered. It has a few really wacky details but the book doesn’t try to act like they don’t exist, which counts for a lot. If you start this story thinking the mmc cannot possibly be redeemed for his chapter 1 behavior, try being in his head where the real criticism is happening.
I can’t give 5 stars because I spent the entire book wondering what their exact age gap was and it was never revealed. Otherwise, perfect book.

I really enjoyed this book. The way the story was told was a refreshing change from typical tropes. For example, we come to know Bill as older than Christina, but it is not centered at all in their relationship. I couldn’t tell you how old either of them were. We get some hints, but again, it’s not about that trope at all.
What this is about is how a sexual arrangement at a workplace grew into something more. And the way Eris wrote it didn’t feel like a power play, even though that dynamic is explored.
In the third person, we get a mental image of how their lives were at work, themselves and each other. I never felt like I was taken out of the story. It was done very well.
I also enjoyed all the side characters. They didn’t feel like they were seeds for future books.
Adding this to my romance recommendations list. I liked it that much.

Older grandparent is a hoarder. Elderly caretaking.
