Love this book but it is a product of its time
the blue castle is different to me every read.
sometimes it makes me feel so seen, sometimes the atmosphere of it fills me with wonder; sometimes i can’t see past the flaws, and sometimes it’s a comfortable place to just switch my brain off and be.
logically, i know that this is in need of some good editing (some details were out of order/place) and some of the plot points were so obvious but it truly, madly, deeply does! (cannot emphasize this enough) fill me with such joy.
it really is like home- a little dysfunctional but safe and warm.

This was a very cozy and sweet book. I can see myself coming back to it when i want something feel good
I did not start out loving this book, but I am so glad that I stuck with it. I loved the cozy, comforting, atmospheric descriptions of life at the "Blue Castle." Such a sweet read.
I think LMM set my expectations too high with Gilbert Blythe so I was expecting the love interest to be far more swoony than I found him. Overall a really enjoyable story!
