Really didn't think I would like this one! But I really did enjoy their story and even liked Colin, which is surprising considering the previous 2 books !

Colin and Sarah

Idk guys, I was keen for a redemption. Usually I like them. In my opinion this didn't hit. Colin needed to have a book at the end of the series after a hell of a lot of solo character growth. He did MULTIPLE unforgivable activities in the two previous books. And sadly this book didn't make me want him to have a HEA.

Also felt like Sarah barely acknowledged his past transgression - yes only one, because she was never told about his cruelty to Jane in the second book. A serious oversight. And I felt like Sarah didn't react at all when she was told. I expected like a good month of not forgiving him not and him having to work through it not.... A minute to not even think about it? Wtf? It didn't match up with who I thought Sarah was.

The rest of the story was great , love a mystery and the evil character yadda yadda. It was standard and enjoyable. Tbh still doesn't understand Snyder's whole business design though. I very much enjoyed the small village part.

Couldn't care for the heroes, as I couldn't pass through what Colin did in books 1 and 2. Simply unforgivable for me, especially what happened at the very beginning of book 1. Can't blame Viscount Ashbourne being uncapable to forgive him. Thanks to audio for helping me get through it.

The only plus sides of this book were to see again Victoria & Lucien, and Jane & Harrison happily married.

This was just okay again. I'm still waiting for the amazing book in this series. I hope the next one is it--has a tall redhead as heroine so I'm excited. This book was nice to move the series along but very low on angst and steam.

Definitely an improvement in the story structure as it's not all just "I'm so empty and unfinished if he's not inside me"(eye roll) these characters were by far the most interesting so far in this series. Though I imagine Colin wouldn't be as interesting without the backstory fromm books 1-2. Might continue the series, but i'll wait a few days and see how I feel then.
