I feel like this was specifically written for me. I love childhood friends to lovers especially with dual timeline, I just love Devney Perrys Montana vibes, strong female characters, and I never cry on books but apparently amazing, emotional, loving parents are my kryptonite because this is the second book I cry because of the parent/daughter relationship.
100% new 5* book and might be even my new favorite from Devney Perry.

i needed More. what we got was so good but it needed to be fleshed out so much more.
the ending felt so abrupt & awkward.

i thought they spent a lot of time together but in reality they spent like 1 week together every 2 years. sometimes only 1-4 days.

the epi was sweet. it was prob my fav part

the mom&dad are my biggest villains

cute. but like mid. it was super duper average. i mean idk if it’s js cuz ive read too many of them but at this point they all seem the same unless they do something special, this one had nothing special.

I had a love/hate relationship with this book which is why I gave it three stars.

Now I liked Indy & West together but oh my god they were both annoying especially Indy.

I feel like it took forever to get to the real reason Indy came back, it was just dragged for no reason. Like when she saw the changes taking effect she should’ve just came clean.

Also all the flashbacks were not necessary, it was so irritating to read. I hate flashbacks especially when they are not needed, I wished it focused more on the present and not so much on the past.

I did enjoy the chemistry between our main characters. Now even though this is a second chance romance, it felt more like insta love to me.

I’m still reading the next book in the series though.
