emotional
fast-paced
While this was a fast paced read, there is a good amount of character development and depth here. Grief is the main emotion that our main character Indya grapples with as she navigates the complexity of overhauling Haven River Ranch. Second chance story so we get lots of flashbacks to her and West’s past. I just needed a little extra “something” to make me love these too. Enjoyed them though and excited for Jax’s book.
Very very solid. Good angst, decent spice, and main characters who are actually likable. It’s a formula that’ll win 11/10 times.

I just finished reading Crossroads and although it took me longer to get through it than I would have liked (life just got in the way), it was an addictive read and I couldn’t wait to read what happened next.
Indya is a rich girl from Texas who visits a ranch resort in Montana with her parents every summer growing up. Every summer she sees the same boy, West Haven. As they get older her thoughts about him grow with her. Does he want to play with me? Does he like me? Does he notice me? Does he want to kiss me? Does he have a girlfriend? Years later Indya returns to the ranch as an adult, some news West isn’t going to like, and some secrets. India’s question now is whether the news and her secrets are going to cause West to end up hating her?
It had just the right amount of steam without being too much. It was funny, romantic, and made me cry. Cowboys, Childhood Sweethearts, Second Chances, Rich girl/Poor boy, forced Proximity, secrets, this book has so much.
I can’t wait to read book 2 in the series. I would highly recommend this book to the romance lovers.
