I have not watched half of the movies mentioned and I still found this valuable and insightful. The audiobook version is solid.

As a queer horror fan, this was a really interesting read, even though I didn't always agree with the interpretations the writers talked about. Still interesting!
Docking a star for how weird and reach-y some of the interpretations were, particularly the one about Jaws, and also for the weird fat fetish stuff in the one essay. As a fat person myself, I would've appreciated a warning.

This was a little uneven but a) one of the essays lent words to my own queer experience that were so moving and profound that I cried and b) the essay on the Blob is one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever read.

If youre gay, love horror, or are gay and love horror you won't be disappointed. Such an interesting and fresh way to write about the queer experience!
