Gratuitous gore porn with mediocre writing. The dialogue was so awkward and yes, there were lots of unsettling thematic scenes, but to what end? We had no motive, and most of it was child SA. I basically DNF'd it, I skimmed the last quarter cause I couldn't handle Tully's dialogue.

Just silly and bad. Dialogue is so poorly written and overly repetitive. Characters repeated actions for no reason. The villain had one insult. The whole book was so over the top that it felt like the author was getting off writing about it. I found myself laughing at points because of how needlessly gory and offensive the book was. The ending felt so forced because of the author clearly wanted room to write a sequel. Overall, just a weird book that tried a little too hard to be gross and offensive.

I genuinely feel like the gore and torture in this book is uncalled for. The dialogue was just straight up weird. This is the first EH book I have to say I didn't enjoy.
