This is kind of a silly mess. It’s entertaining as hell but the plot twists are just nonsensical.
Final girl: a female sole survivor of a multiple homicide. Quincy Carpenter, Lisa Milner, and Samantha Boyd didn't ask for this life, but they are forced to live it through the Final Girl name penned by the press. But when something happens to one of them, the other two cling to each other for support. Quincy doesn’t remember every event of that night, but as the novel unfolds all of the secrets and deceptions are brought to light.
Final Girls is full of suspense and misleading plot twists. While many books in this genre are predictable, Sager’s distinct characterization allows for the reader to be just as confused as Quincy. Readers will furiously flip the pages seeking answers, and be left grasping for breath until the very last page.

Ending lowered it from a 3 star to a 2 star. I hate that it’s so obviously written by a man.

This is a hard book for me to rate because there were aspects I really really liked and other parts that were so infuriating I almost stopped reading it. I’d probably put it closer to a 3.5 but since that’s not an option, 4 it is.
