Wow! In the running for my new favorite Sager, and this was his first. Every thrilling twist was brilliant. I saw NONE of it coming. This was a fun one to keep coming back to.

Yeah idk about this one Riley. Last quarter was fun, and I was eager to find out what happened at Pine Cottage despite guessing the outcome early on in the book. I think that’s a testament to Sager’s writing—he can keep me reading even when I don’t care too much for the characters and/or can figure out the twist(s). But the payoff of the ending wasn’t enough for me to justify the rest of an otherwise uneventful story. Maybe if this was my first Sager novel, I’d feel differently.
…although I do feel empowered to kick some ass if ever in a slasher film-esque situation. So thanks for that ig.

LOVED. This story was great. I didn't see the twist coming although afterwards it's like oh hey come on. I thought the main character and sub characters had a lot to offer and I was intrigued in following them. I also really like the way the Pine Cottage story is woven in with present day Quincy. It didn't feel like weird longing for the past but genuinely keep me wondering what was going on. I think I am becoming a Riley Sager fan girl! lol

This book was great, absolutely devoured it. My favorite character is Quincy always wanting to put a front on even though she was dying inside. I never expected the ending that was a great twist.
