The reason I chose this book was for the title - what made me stay was the suspense and unknowns of the novel.

Abi is returning to her family but Sarah doesn’t believe it’s her daughter. The story unfolds to show how Abi has been keeping secrets, along with Sarah’s conflicting feelings. The more I read, the more impossible it became to put the book down. , I was racing to read the next shocker while being surprised by the twists and turns.

My favorite part about this read was how surprised I was. I’d thought I’d had it all figured out, but this book made me go omg aloud. That’s the mark of a great thriller.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book grabbed my attention and had me guessing from the get go. Told from two different viewpoints, Sarah and Abi, moving between the past and present. Had lots of twists and the ending left me without any questions.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

This was a great read. Gripped from the beginning, this is a true page-turner. I wanted so bad to know what happenned in the past and how things would unfold in the present that it gave me anxiety...in a good way! Several times I thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. A great emotional and suspensful book!

The Wick family experienced the worst nightmare possible when there beautiful four-year-old daughter Abigail was abducted during a family holiday at the beach. Now, fourteen years later, a teenage girl shows up in their lives claiming to be the child they lost all those years ago. Does the reunion mean that Wick family's nightmare become a dream-come-true, or is the horror just beginning?

This book was very slow going up to about page 200, when the plot really picked up and it showed some promise of becoming the gripping and addictive psychological thriller the front cover promises. The last 100 pages were real page turners, but I found the twist at the ending of the book a let down. On the plus side, the book had no sex, very little violence and no bad or inappropriate language. The I didn't hate the book, it just won't go on my top-ten list for the year. I gave it 3/5 stars on Goodreads.
