A little disjointed and at times more just a series of facts, but nonetheless a very interesting book that I started reading before a trip down to Cornwall and which enhanced some lovely walks there

Having never read a book like this one before, it was a real revelation and I thoroughly enjoyed it. People have already started asking me why I'm looking at the stars at night. It could have been a bit more organized but overall, it's very interesting and helpful.

Love this one!

The only thing I would have to say I don't like, is the fact that it's very centered on the UK. Of course I can't really blame the author, he is from there after all. For me the title is a little bit misleading though, but in all honesty most of the tips and tricks mentioned are usable in most parts of the world.

I actually went for this one as an audiobook to keep it with me during walks and observe things he mentioned. It was a great companion, but the entire book is so packed with facts and tips that you can't absorb it all in one go. I'll have to read it again and again and use it more as a textbook than a non-fiction storybook.

Very interesting read, this book does reveal a completely new aspect to the outside world. As the book reveals many many clues and ways to find them, it will be difficult to implement them all. I was only saddened that the book is mainly for UK residents and uses mostly common names for species. I would have liked Latin names along side them to make it just a bit easier to use.
