What a great end to this series!! I felt that the last few books dragged a little bit, but Fyre was great and flew by for me. I am happy with the way the loose ends were tied up! I really enjoyed this series and am glad I read it.
I absolutely love it!
I love the characters, the world and the story.
I wanna recommend this series to all my little cousins, nieces and nephews!

Just a heads up, this is going to be an emotional gushing review of the entire series.
I’ve just finished rereading one of my all time favourite series and I’m so goddam emotional. These books are part of what made me fall in love with reading.
Angie Sage builds worlds like no one else, I love the intricate details she puts into the world in the Septimus Heap world and the little touches that add so much character to the setting. Her narrative voice holds urgency when it’s needed and delivers a sort of wry humour kind of like Jane Austen’s narrators that like accurate jabs at characters which only further endear them to the reader.
I adore how each character makes so many mistakes and has many flaws, it makes them so frustratingly human that sometimes I want to scream at them to just COMMUNICATE or STOP BEING SO STUBBORN but it makes me love them even more.
Another thing I loved: THE REDEMPTION ARCS. To the relatively small happening of Marcia starting a program for Hildegarde and other people who previously worked with Dom Daniel to redeem themselves to SIMON HEAP. I loved that Simon was able to acknowledge that he did wrong and then he had to WORK to be redeemed and to gain forgiveness, he could have blamed it on being consumed by the Darke but his mistakes were acknowledged by him and then he worked to rectify them. That kind of acknowledgement and regret at doing wrong and slow redemption arc was so good.
THE FAMILY FEELING IS SO GOOD PURE, I love how the Heaps interact with each other, sometimes dysfunctional but always a family. Lucy and Simon as a family unit has my heart and seeing the slow bonding love between them and the rest of the Heaps made me so happy. Also the found family with Marcia and Septimus has my heart, Septimus being described as Marcia’s child is so goddam soft.
I loved how the last book still made reference to the first book with petroc trelawney and the three youngest Heaps on the dragon boat.
Spit Fyre is so temperamental and contrary and he reminds me of one of my dogs and I love him.
This entire series is so good and I love it with my entire heart.
Tbh the only thing I could do without is the pairing of Jenna with Beetle (who is clearly gay and in love with Septimus) and milo And Marcia (who is clearly a power lesbian).

A great conclusion to the Septimus Heap series. It felt like everything ended as it should.
Loved this book for the ending of the septimus heap main storyline! They're are a few things slept up in the air, but not enough to be bothered by it completely. Love beetle and septimus the lost as usual. And loved learning more information about the past Queens and wizards
funny
I really hope that this book is as great as the rest. I wonder what will be in this book.
I really enjoyed this series. Look forward to reading more by this author. Her books are quirky and fun.
