This nicely wrapped up the 7 book series. Rarely does a long series end with all of the plots, both major and minor, being so nicely wrapped up. Great ending.

Great ending to this Magykal series! Lots of loose ends tied up. Plenty of action with Septimus busy working with Marcia and Marcellus, and Jenna in her frustrations with Queen ghosts and an empty castle. That evil Two-Faced Ring is wily and still threatening despite all precautions. The man (now ghost) who seems to be the root cause of many problems also must own up to his failures-about time too!
Summary: Septimus must battle the remnants of the Dark Domaine, which will remain until the power of the evil Two-Faced Ring is destroyed forever. To accomplish that, the ancient Alchemie Fyre must be relit -- a task that sends Septimus to the very origins of Magyk and Physik, testing both his skills, and his loyalties to ExtraOrdinary Wizard, Marcia Overstrand, and Alchemist Marcellus Pye.

A satisfying ending to the series that ties together multiple plot lines.
I loved this series. Plenty of adventure, a little romance, a few instances of horror, witches, wizards, secret tunnels, princesses, queens, piles of magic and other mystical stuff, and dragons. What's a good magical story without dragons, huh?
I'm not going to summarize 7 books, 2 supplemental books and a short story here, because that'd be ridiculous. But if you like witches and dragons and such, these are totally worth the read.

I didn't want to start this book because I didn't want the series to end. The ending was appropriate. It was a good ending but not too good. There still was disappointment.
This was, in my opinion, the most scattered of her books (I would have rated this a 3.5) but her world is still pretty solid. There was a hole in inhabitation. How it was carried out in the first book vs here was very different.
Also, why did she bring up WolfBoy's family to then not have them be reunited at all. After Septimus tells him about them, that's it. They are dropped.
There were so many characters, that it was hard to catch up on all of them. I would have liked a longer book.
But, all in all, I LOVE this universe. The magic seems realistic and the characters are lovable. I'm excited to see what the new series in the same universe holds.

Původně jsem to chtěla zaokrouhlit na 3, ale můžu snad za to, že ty konce jsou vždycky tak perfektní?
Jinak se mi to sice líbilo nejméně z celé série... ale pořád dobré. A těším se na spin-off. Hrozně moc :D
