Surprisingly emotional, had me crying in several places. Overarching theme of overcoming domestic abuse in multiple forms. I think Alexis was wonderfully developed as a main character but Daniel was a bit bland and seemed to be too perfect/flawless. Loved the Minnesota setting!

The beginning was definitely hard to get into for me, I found Alexis pretty insufferable at first. Once I got halfway through I was devouring it, and the characters all really grew on me by that point.
I read yours, truly first and really enjoyed that book, and it’s characters, much more. But I do love a character in a romance that isn’t just an author or chef.

This was such a charming rom-com novel. 😭 I laughed. I teared up. Worth the read.

Mediocre. There were some things I hated and some things I liked, but generally the novel was exceedingly mediocre.

Still need to collect my feelings and cram them into words, but one thing I will say is that after finishing the book, I listened to a bit of the audiobook out of curiosity.

Zachary Webber in particular did an incredible job as Daniel. The emotion he put into his voice during the more emotional parts of the story felt so real. I’m tempted to experience this story again just to hear him read all of Daniel’s chapters.
