For those who are looking for a swoon worthy romance that's almost a fairytale, you are going to enjoy Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez.
After a chance encounter on the side of the road, medical legacy Alexis Montgomery is swept away by the charm of small town life and its mayor, Daniel Grant. But when their worlds seem too incompatible, Alexis has to decide what she wants to make of her life as well as her future with Daniel.
This was the first time I read Abby Jimenez's work and I was thoroughly impressed with her writing. Since I listened to the audiobook version, her writing is brought to life with the excellent narrator duo of Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber. The dual POV really works well for this book and the dynamics between the two were really spot on. Jimenez's writing brings out a swoon worthy relationship that shows that soulmates exist and this relationship is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time with a satisfying happily ever after.
I can't wait to read her future works and I would recommend Part of Your World to readers who want a small town romance full of charm.

I finished this in a day. Haven't done that in awhile. Listened to the audiobook and it was really well done. Like, clicked through to see what other books the male narrator did because that man was ✨acting ✨ and it was EFFECTIVE. The phone call 😭😭😭.

Even after knowing the ending, I loved this book so much. I made me appreciate everything even more.
The rest is one big spoiler dump so be careful…
Also knowing all the easter eggs that were dropped from previous and upcoming books was so fun to read :))
For example NEIL: omg!! Reading ‘Just for the summer’ I totally forgot the toxic bitch he was in this book.
And oh boy… DANIEL!! Little did he knew he had a little sister from his mom who put him to work to give her money 😏
Abby Jimenez is the queen in interconnected standalone!!! 👑
Now I’m going to reread ‘Yours Truly’ because I want the whole story of this world complete and in order :)
And after rereading this book (and it being mentioned elsewhere) this book might be my favorite romance ever. The relationship between Alexis and Daniel was so complicated with both of their family legacies. There was just no in between. So, up until the end, we are clueless what the perfect scenario is for them to end up together (because that the point of a romance book, right?)
Also this time I annotated everything and anything out of this book, because I want to go back to it and just live the story without reading it as a whole (because who has the time?). With that I actually did my homework I assigned myself after reading it for the first time last summer.

I LOVED IT!!! Her writing is so addictive!
⚠️ Please read the trigger warnings! Alexis lives in a life where abuse and toxic relationships are present. ⚠️
The story is so powerful. Alexis is the most powerful woman I ever read about. She just got sick with how her ex-husband and dad (and with that her mom) treated her and found her love somewhere else while being true to the family’s relationship with the hospital where her family has worked for over 125 years.
I ate this book up. The whole book was about the two (totally) different lives that could not be combined because each one had a valid reason. Till the end you were in the unknown how it will end. And it ended how it was supposed to end; so beautiful <33
Abby is a queen in writing. Just gets straight to the point when begins her story. And at the back, in the acknowledgments, she wrote about the people she met and interviewed about the many topics she wrote about in the book. That’s the way to do it; doing research and interviewing people where needed. Even to write a scene of 3 pages the right way. And she even forgives herself for the possible mistakes in the book about those topics. 👏🏻
Also, there were some mentions of characters from her previous books; loved it!
I think I might say Abby Jimenez is in my top 3 best authors of all time!
I’m not someone who likes to annotate their books but I see myself rereading them and annotating them in the (foreseeable) future :) I secretly made a note on my phone with thoughts I had while reading the books (for most of her books) 😊
