A solid 3 star read. I like that it approached real issues with care but I also thought the back and forth lasted forever. Alexis and Neil both need to read Children of Emotionally Immature Parents FOR SURE

ABBY JIMENEZ CAN DO NO WRONG. Anytime I’m in a slump I pick up an Abby Jimenez book and everytime I fall in love with the story. 4.5 stars the .5 taken off is for Alexis at times being annoying but I also totally understand the disappointing parents so at the same time related ❤️
Thoughts: I FINALLY was able to pick up my first Abby Jimenez book after having to order it online because I couldn’t find it anywhere!!
Sadly, I didn’t enjoy this one as much as I was hoping, and it was because of the spice & how often the sex was referenced. It really put me off every time it came up (which was frequently) and I felt like it could have really done without.
I also found myself thinking it was very similar to A Novel Love Story that I’d just read, in terms of the small town, the guy loves the girl, etc. I think you’ll understand if you’ve read both of these.
Other than those 2 things, I did enjoy the story & I thought the characters & the town were super cute. I think if I’d read it at a different time it may have got a higher rating.

4.8⭐️ it didn’t give me that guy five star feel but it was so close. this book was Magical and Raw! I fell in love with Daniel, he’s just everything good! I hurt, cried, laughed, and swooned. I can’t believe I read just of the summer first now. I’ll have to reread it after yours truly. I truly love Abby H. for writing these realistic romances.
idk i wasn’t that into it? maybe it was just the “too good to be true” type thing? i will try another from her again!
