⭐️ Listened to it on audio and this one kept me interested the whole time. I did figure out part of the twist but not the entire thing.
How have I not read anything by Natalie D. Richards before?!? I love a good YA Mystery/Thriller and Seven Dirty Secrets really hit the spot for me. It was eerie and deliciously spooky without being too frightening, all while having an air of mystery. The story sends the protagonists on a sinister scavenger hunt in which their secrets are unveiled in spooky and suspenseful ways. The plot was evenly paced and the story was well done, I enjoyed reading from start to finish! I’ll definitely have to pick up more from Natalie D. Richards for future spooky reads.

Note on review: I am NOT the target audience for this book.
I'm not entirely sure how Seven Dirty Secrets found it's way to my TBR last year. But it took that long to get around to reading it.
The novel plunks us right in the middle of the action - it's the MC's 18th birthday and she's really not looking forward to it. As we follow her into the shower, we get a glimpse into her lonely family situation and are with her when she finds her first "present" - a small box slipped into her bathroom while she's showering.
From there, it's a race around the Columbus, OH area to figure out the mystery of who's behind the gifts - and who knows the MC's secret. (Honestly, she was so forgettable that I've forgotten her name already.)
The red herrings that Richards has placed throughout the novel aren't very distracting from the obvious (to me) of who the guilty party behind the boxes eventually turns out to be.
It was a fast-paced novel that I was able to read in a few hours and also completely forgettable. The one thing that I know will stick with me is that it was definitely written by a native of Columbus, OH.

I’m in between a 2.5-3 stars for this one. It was just ok. I didn’t not really like the narrator. Her male voice was so scary lol
I liked Richards other book but couldn't get into this one. I read a couple chapters but wasn't intrigued enough to keep reading
I don’t even feel like reviewing this it was so terrible.
This was a decent YA book. I feel like i would have enjoyed it more in like high school. Not a bad book at all! Just a tad bit young for me but it is a YA LOL!!
It was really great up until the end. It kept me on my toes and had me spooked at times. But the ending just didn’t hit the same as the rest of the book, and i don’t know why. I’d still recommend it though
