Very dragged out and repetitive, just felt like i was reading the same exact points over and over and over again. The ending wasn’t worth reading through the rest of the book. Predictable suspect and storyline.

The editing was bad. Page 305 literally has a whole editor’s comment paragraph stuck right in the middle of a scene.

While the “who done it” was a bit obvious, I did enjoy the mystery unraveling within a scavenger hunt of sorts. An important story about dating/domestic violence.

Grades 8 and up.

I’m a huge fan of Natalie D. Richards and this story just cemented that love for her work!

This book exceeded my expectations. I kept seeing it in the store and passing it up, but I broke down and bought it, and I am glad I did! It was filled with twists and every time I thought I had it figured out something else happened and I was questioning it again.

Cleo was likable, though I did feel bad for her. She was left alone a lot and in a dirty house. Especially after what she went through, her parents still didn't seem to care and left. How Declan treated her was inexcusable. I also liked Hope, I didn't find her to be the overbearing best friend like in most books. At first, I wasn't a fan of Connor, but he grew on me. I am glad I read this book, and have already recommended it to people. This will not be the last book I read by Natalie D. Richards.
