My partner finished this before I did, and told me it was his favourite and the best one in the series. And honestly, he might be right. Whilst I’ll always have a soft spot for the first book, this was such a brilliant read right the way through. There was never a point where I felt bored or disinterested. And oh my god, the amount of big reveals throughout this was amazing. Everything has been thought out so well. Even the ending itself has made me giddy and wanting for more. Derek has delivered an amazing read as per usual, but this one feels extra special.
Number 15 in the series, and there were so many points when I genuinely couldn’t see a way out for our cast of ‘heroes’. After so many books following Skulduggery and Valkyrie, Until the End is ready to rip your heart out and stamp on it whilst laughing.
Derek Landy is such an impressive weaver of storylines. Seeing the cumulation of plots that have been teased or sprinkled throughout this series was amazing, along with some heartbreakingly realistic outcomes.
Overall I loved how many tears this book caused.

I won't lie I did enjoy certain plot points and enjoyed seeing them unfold but there was just so much going on and covered so quickly it made me wonder what the point of it even was. I wish this entire Phase had less going on so that actual interesting plots had more build up and better writing lol.
