This story is so dark and sexy, pushing all my favorite kink buttons hard. And there's an actual plot to go with the sex and in the perfect balance. This author has become one of my favorites. I can't wait to start the sequel.

Edit: Just finished reading this a second time. It was interesting to pick up on little details that I hadn't noticed the first time. Even though I knew how things would go, it was still fun falling in love with these characters all over again, not only the three main characters, but many of the supporting ones like Steve and Sam. I would love to have a prequel or side novel that tells about the guy who sells the trained Doms - there's so much to work with there.

190205 - I just finished reading an ARC of the updated version. I loved the original version, but the update adds and refines what was already there. Looking forward to seeing this one become available for readers soon.

The book lagged in some places, the writing was confusing in others, and I didn't necessarily love the rather open relationship they had going on, but [b:Don't...|16406114|Don't... It was all kinds of fucked up, this book was!

But I'm OCD and I'm gonna read the series to the end.

1 star! That's my first rating of this book and actually the rest of the books in this series. But it was me being angry, frustrated, hurt, and taking the piss.

But now that I'm finished?
5 fucking stars!

So many amazing reviews have already been written, i will try keep this short and spoiler free.

I enjoyed the story telling and the writing. It started a bit shaky for me but i stuck with it, and it did get better. There was some humor too. I found myself laughing so hard.

description

The story revolves around 3 men Jack, Jan and Gray, and told in the POV of Jack and Jan.

I liked Jack a lot, the guy has ISSUES and i want to be here to see him through those issues. His character is so fascinating to read. Jan is starting to grow on me too, i didn't connect with him from the beginning the way i did with Jack but by the end of this one, he was on board my connect train. Gray, I freaking loved.

As for the relationship, it was good there was connection, chemistry but i felt it was too Insta! Now, i got nothing against Insta as long as it is well done! it can work and it worked here. The sex scenes were freaking hot! hot! the good porn hot!

The BDSM approach was different than what i am used to, and i found myself invested into that world. I didn't find this one that dark, i am hoping the rest of the series becomes darker, like really really dark, i see the potential, i hope it delivers.

Overall, i liked it and enjoyed it enough to continue.

The blurb for this book made it sound like just my sort of thing, but I've ended up deciding not to continue reading about a quarter of the way through. It's a bit hard to put my finger on why the book didn't grab me, but I think the bottom line is that the idea of the main character, Jack, submitting to an unknown, unseen Dom who has apparently bugged his home, his phone and work, didn't seem realistic. The situation came across as way too creepy and not at all sexy. The breaking point came when Jack started cutting himself at the behest of the still-unknown Dom. Everyone has their kinks, and you shouldn't judge people by what turns them on, but self-mutilation crosses a line for me from "wow, he's hard core" to "um, I think he needs to consult a mental health professional about why he's doing that".

Wow, wow, wow. What a ride! This book went between WTF am I reading, to WTF is going on, to "you've got to be kidding me"! I had to stop part way through because it was just becoming too intense to continue. But then I couldn't relax until I had finished reading the whole thing either.

It's not an easy or a comfortable read. There are bits that are disturbing in many ways. Not so much in ways of kink; nothing of that nature as such. But in other ways, it was a hard read. But...at the same time, it was completely engrossing.

I at times loathed, loved, hated and adored the characters. They are all so marvellously flawed and real. No cardboard copy in sight anywhere. And the intrigue and suspense that runs throughout the whole story...brillliant!

It's going on my Favourites shelf. It deserves it's place there, but I think I'll let it simmer for a bit first before I reread this one again.

Loved it, can't wait for [bc:Antidote|18751334|Antidote|Jack L. Pyke|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1383532083s/18751334.jpg|26638783] to be released.

It took a while to get into the book and understand where it was coming from but once I had that sorted it was full steam ahead. Liked the twists and turns in the plot and the under lying humour especially at the end.
SpoilerI wonder what will happen to the clock in the next book
. This story had it all, sex, violence, a secret/powerful BDSM Club and a heart throb Dom.

I could picture the garage and houses, though surprisingly it never seemed to rain! It is nearly always raining in England!! Loved how Sam was caught up in Chelsea, football is big in England, like NHL or NBL in the States so it is quite believable he would risk his job to see them play. I liked the character of Steve and wonder if he will play as big a part in the next book now he has his own garage to run.

Will Jan, Jack and Gray be a menage-a-trois or just an occasional get together? Questions, questions, questions....can't wait to find the answers.
