I am really loving this series. I grew to really care for the characters and I love the writing. I didn’t have any problems with the book besides for that I hate Mr. Crepsley. He is such a horrible human being for forcing Darren into becoming a vampire and then expecting him to die for him instead of taking the blame himself. I’m hoping there’s a better explanation for that or i hope that gets mentioned by the end of the series. That’s not a problem I have with the book if anything it’s a good sign that the book brings that kind of emotion out of me. The trials were interesting and fun to read about. I’m excited to see what happens next.

i cried soo much when he got burned

Ending good

I was going to give this book three stars only, because at the price to buy it, the book is very short (just under 200 pages i think) and I was a little disappointed with it. The trails are a slight let down, they aren't overly life threatening as told to us during the book (and at the end of the previous book), darren came away from each trail with only a few cuts and bruises and a few burns he soon recovered from. The book seemed a little rushed, like it all had to written in the set number of pages by law! However, as Darren was in tunnels escaping, I couldn't stop reading! I love that feeling, your engrossed in a book so much you wished you could read faster! The story opened up and moved on in the last 10-20 pages, and a massive betrayal at the end was not seen! The whole saga has moved on to another level and the direction of the story could take is limitless. I do look forward to getting the next one
