I liked the romance and the lesson that it was talking about. But this book felt really different from the other books during the middle. I did not like what was happening for the main part of the book because it was a bit odd.

Sorinda is such a cool character in the main series that always felt unexplored. Apparently, the author agreed. Now we get a peek inside the reserved, precise, and deadly assassin.

This book took me forever to read, but not because I didn’t like it. This is a very busy time in my life but I kept coming back to this book even though I wow. I started it in January. The beginning was rough. I don’t love blood and gore so I almost put it down and left it. But I kept on. I don’t love it as much as the first two books, but once the big turning point happens, things got interesting and I really enjoyed the last half of the book. The narrator was superb. Wonderful accents and voices. Really great.
