I LOVED being back in this world! And getting to be in Sorinda's head was very interesting since she had only been a side character previously. I am so glad Roslyn was featured as much as she was, because what's not to live about an enthusiastic 8 year old pirate? Seeing the relationship between Sorinda and Kieran was interesting and fun since when we last saw them there was definitely some loathing going on or at least a front of it. The storyline of going into uncharted waters to find missing crew members was good and what they find was a fun addition. From a few lines at the end I'm curious if we are going to get another book in this world with Mandsy and Naridia's stories.

⭐️ 4.5/5. The third installment of this series was by far the best. The inner thoughts of the characters, relational development, and uniqueness of the plot were all strong points of this story. Sorinda made a compelling FMC, and I did love Kearan—he was caring, understanding, and steady. I’m ngl tho, I think I’ve read one too many new adult romantasy series, because I was lowkey rooting for the shadow daddy villain IYKYK😂🙈 Also, Rosalind remains my favorite character.
This was a great conclusion to the series, though I wish Tricia would write more! She left it open to the possibility of continued storyline, so I’ll hold out hope.
❄️ A pirate trip north to Viking country
❄️ Silent assassin captain FMC meets reformed drunk turned steady helmsman MMC
❄️ A possessive iceking

“It’s okay to lean against others for strength. But it’s even more important to find your own strength within”
“You are worthy of saving. You are worthy of life. You are good. You are capable. You are worthy of love. You are worthy of my love.”
This book was a whirlwind the whole way through! Very fast paced and action packed. Despite that, it still took me a second to get into this book. I wasn’t attached to the characters right away and they took some time to grow on me again.
The last 1/3 of this book is the best. We get that full character development, love conquers all, final battle extravaganza and it was absolutely epic. I loved every second of it!!
This was a fun novella to capture a side quest. It perfectly compliments the duology perfectly. It’s the cherry on top that you should not skip!!!

This was so fun to listen to, I loved the adventure and the slow burn enemies-to-lovers vibe between Sorinda and Kearan (I loved Kearan so much by the time I finished this). I liked seeing Sorinda's character growth throughout as well. I do think I would've enjoyed it more if I read the previous books as even though this one could be a standalone, it references characters and plot points from the other books in this series. Overall a sweet slow burn romance and fun adventure!
Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for the ARC!
