Loved Sorinda’s story! It was a great adventure full of action, mythical beasts and self discovery. I loved seeing her grow and develop as a character and captain. A wonderful addition to a great duology. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy- all thoughts are my own.

There were some things about the dialogue / narrative that pulled me out of the story, but it was engaging and enjoyable over all.

I haven't read such well-written dialogues in a very long time. They really made me feel a lot of things, from joy and butterflies in my stomach to tenderness and nostalgia. I absolutely adored all the characters. Seriously, nobody annoyed me, which is super rare (just like a non-spicy romance and it was also here!). I'd give it 5 stars, but I found the ending a bit juvenile and "convenient", and I simply couldn't fully believe Sorinda's inner transformation.
