It was hard to keep track of all the different historical figures and the story wasn't as entertaining as the other ones by Hale, but still worth reading if you like history and graphic novels.

First time reading a Hazardous Tales book and this was interesting. It took me a bit to figure out what was going on with the "narrators", but once I was past that hurdle, it was a good, fairly concise telling of all the battles before and after the Alamo. I'm not sure if it would make the best book club pick for middle grade readers because it is heavy on dates and places, but I'm not ruling it out completely.

I feel guilty giving any book in this outstanding series a three as this book is still pretty good. Yet, I'm giving it a three because it wasn't my favorite in the series as I felt it was didn't have as strong of a narrative as others. I did appreciate the diversity represented in US history and the documentation of an important but not often emphasized aspect of American history. Again, not my favorite in the series (that one still goes to Tubman) but I will always appreciate Hale's mission to make history enjoyable and relevant.

As a teacher this author and series makes history super accessible for my students. Highly recommend.

I love this book series! Funny, educational, and easy to follow!
These books do not shy away from the the “real” history of our country. Nathan Hale never disappoints, with his illustrations and his story. I love the humor to keep things light without simply sliding over rough topics.

Nathan Hale does not disappoint! Great book, and a great addition to a great series!

After reading the "Donner Dinner Party" I was hooked. And the "Alamo All-Stars" did not disappoint. I wish these books had been around when I was in grade school. I would have paid much more attention;

The day I read one of Nathan Hale's history comics and DON'T laugh out loud several times over and read the jokes aloud to my cats is the day the world comes crashing down.

Is it weird that I want to know the rattlesnakes' backstory? THE BACKSTORIES ARE SO GOOD.
