A truly epic story of vengeance combining Norse mythology and the Vikings. Love Orka was definitely my fav. And the ending. Gagged. Love her even more. However, it took me almost 130 pages to truly get into the story and although it was action packed from the start it took a while for it to grip me. Probably since there are 3 povs and the characters beyond the povs haven’t interacted with each other. So there were a lot of characters. Also I high key predicted a betrayal which to me was obvious from the start. Moreover the names are low key spoilers if you speak a Scandinavian language. Like Vargs name obviously suggested that he was an ulfhednar. Other then that it was great and I’m excited for book 2. Amazing battle scenes.

Good lord this just hit everything you could want it to hit. Engrossing world-building combined with well-rounded characters. A really well-paced story of 3 distinct characters whose stories slowly weave together and conclude with more twists in the last 50 pages than you can count. Very excited to continue with this series
