First Off…
I was perusing the shelves at the library and saw this half pint book, which was intriguing, so i flipped through the first couple pages, and the quirkiness of it made me take it home.

Thoughts:
This was an unexpectedly wonderful book. It was such a interestingly different story and an easy read as well.
The story starts with —– who is the character of a story. But the things is, the characters are aware of being reading, almost like someone living a play. The story continues through the eyes of —– on how the story comes to life, literally, and how it lives inside a reader.
I think though i liked the story also for the writing. The concept was so well developed and thought through and then well written. I really connected with the ability of the actual author and how the story captures the process of writing a story. In a way, it makes this book feel like the true story of any story that is written, in one way or another.

10 Second Summary:
1. Easy read: it took me maybe 5 hours to read this book, which I tackled in one day, which means its also a capturing story in addition to an easy read
2. Cleverly creative story: it was just so well told and different for a story to be told from the view of a character aware that its a character in a book.
3. Standalone (kind of): I think the story was written to be a stand alone , but when eBooks became popular the author came up with an idea to extend the story. So the story has a satisfactory ending but you can read a second if you want.

I’ve loved this book when I first discovered it all those years ago. Reading it now I loved it even more. I think I’ve become even more nostalgic. It makes me so happy.

My favorite book of all time. I love the whole idea of the book and the fact that more often than not what the author writes the chacters doing on such and such page actually occurs on that page, for example, Slvie falls asleep on a large word on page whatever and the word is actually on the page she fell alseep on. The mystery of the girl with the blue eyes is also intriquing to be although by the end of the book it isn't difficult to figure out who she really is.

I might have liked this as a kid, but it lacked magic to me.

A princess from a fairy tale book escapes her story by climbing over the end of the page and into the dreams of her reader. From this perspective, this book character sees the happiness her story brings to several generations, as the story is passed on from grandmother to mother to daughter. This book makes me want to reminisce over characters that have influenced my life.

A book that starts off quite clever, but then teeters a bit further into the story. It's a nice read, something different, but felt like it dragged in parts. I think I'd have liked it more if I read it years ago, but no regrets for reading it now.

Basically a perfect little meta-fictional children's book. I love it.

It's actually very interesting and an incredible story. I always like a book where characters lives in the book and they become real or come out of a book , like Ink heart. Her, the author's, imagination is very fantastical. It has become my favorite book now. This book is about a kingdom who lives in a story and a book. Whenever a reader opens the book, all the characters started to play their role. One day, Claire, the reader forgets to close the book and put it besides her and fall asleep. Princess Sylvie climbs into her dreams and get a chance to meet her. And here goes the adventure..
