It was good and I struggle with reviewing it. Because it most definitely deserves the 3.75 stars but rounding up to four feels wrong but also I feel like I was the problem?
The story is great, the world building impressive and the entire book was strange and dreamlike in the best way. Yet, somehow, I failed to connect with the story. I'm not sure if it's because of the time jumps in the first part or if it was actually the third person perspective here.
Either way, by the end I was deeply invested and am glad I didn't give up.
