SO GOOD! One of my favorite books I’ve read in awhile. I loved the slow burn in this and especially love when side characters are developed. Khes ❤️

I loved book 7, Ruling Sikthand, and the main couple Sikthand and Sophia. It was one of my favourites in the series because it brought all the pain, suspicion and angst that I thought it would since Sikthand had been betrayed by someone he thought was his mate before. It's a real slow burn with a strong payoff! Somehow I've binged all 7 main books and a novella in like 4 days (I get a bit obsessive when I get drawn into a series) and now I'm not quite sure what to do with myself now I'm all up to date!
But ahhh, Victoria's website says that Rhaego's book is next - Bewitching Rhaego - with a targeted release of Spring 2025! Rhaego has been absent for quite a few books now until his minor reappearance in this book and I can't wait for his story!

Thank goodness for the dual POV. The first few chapters I was just dying to get a peak behind the immovable mask of King Sikthand. This book definitely leaned into the slooooow burn and grumpy x sunshine, and it was so worth it. Sophia is great and I loved that she leaned into the culture and embraced her role, and that she got lots of tattoos. And I really enjoyed seeing Sikthand from both his inner thoughts as well as Sophia’s observations and drawings.
I really can’t say enough good things about this series. Easily a new favorite and I can’t wait for the next book to come out this summer. Definitely not done with Clecania yet!
