DID I FINISH THIS SERIES IN A WEEK? YES I DID. Now im not sure what i want to do with my life!

Annnnnd we're back, baby! The previous book, resisting Maxu, had fallen short for me compared to the rest in the series, so I'm really glad this one worked out and was on par with the others! Great FMC and slow burn. World building continues to be fun.
Thank god for a double epilogue.
The burn. The ANGST. Sikthand is my new favorite Clecanian. The ultimate grump but softy at heart. Vulnerable without being cringy and lovable without being sappy or predictable. Sophia is strong and levelheaded and doesn’t make dumb decisions.
The politics in this book is amazingly well written and progress the over-arching story without overshadowing Sophia and Sikthand’s story. We see cameos from characters from the previous books, although most of our focus is on the people of Vrulatica. The fanart for Vrulatica, Sophia and Sikthand are going to be EPIC. I can’t wait.
While Choosing Theo will always be my fave Clecanian book - this one pushed to #2. Amazing amazing. I can’t say enough great things.

My favourite book of the Clecanian series! Loved both main characters and the plot. Stephen Dexter was a talented narrator - wish I’d found the audiobooks for this series earlier!
