This whole series had me in a VICE GRIP but this book specifically had me drop to my KNEES and BEG for an alien mate of my own because I am unequivocally in love with the traumatized wall dweller that is Sikthand
Went back to the well. Made sure this one didn't have a breeding k*nk. What can I say? I'm just a girl

i liked this one more than i thought i would. but they're all so good. such a good series.
4.5 stars!
This is my favourite so far! I could read a whole series just focusing on these two. I actually really enjoy how each story focuses on a different view of this world. Showing different cultures and ways each couple comes together, even the aliens’ physical appearances can differ. It really makes the world itself feel more dimensional as we get to learn more about it. But this book’s world building was the most interesting to me.
Sophia and Sikthand’s chemistry was so fun to read. They had the tension, they had the push and pull, they had the heat and they had the love. There was a lot of pushing away because of Sikthand’s past. Although his trust issues were to an extreme and could be frustrating, I understood why he had them (plus it made for a great slow burn). In the end he was a big softy that just got hurt five too many times.
I only wish we got more of them having deeper conversations. They never really discussed either’s past or any real in depth topics. There was a lot of assuming on both parts or information about each other being learned from outside parties. I just like a well communicated couple and that was one thing they definitely need to work on.
Overall though, I loved it. I’m curious to see how many more books will be in this series because there are still so many places that can be explored and the plot that carries through all the books seems to be coming to a peak but isn’t there yet. Either way I’ll just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Slower paced book compared to VA's other stories in the series, but EXQUISITE. Stood up and applauded at the end.
