Welcome to the small town of Silver Bells, Colorado! It is beyond is a perfect location for the Christmas season with it's snow-covered mountains, warm fires, and seasonal decorations. The description of the town and Holiday House is so well written in this book. You can easily picture them and feel as though you are there.

Abby's friend has asked her to travel from Arizona to Silver Bells to care for her grandmother who was injured in a fall. Abby agrees and packs up her son, Christopher, to do just that. Abby and Christopher are both such warm and loving characters. It was so easy to like them both. Then there was Ethan, Lucy's brother, who comes to Silver Bells and honesty he was so wonderful.

This book was like one of those heart-warming Hallmark movies that we wait all year to watch. It was simply marvelous and I enjoyed every moment of it.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Started off so cute, but I thought it got pretty boring to be honest. I think too much internal monologue. The house was such a fun and gorgeous part of the story though! And there were a few parts that were very cute.

A RaeAnne Thayne book is something I always savor, but her Christmas novels? They are something to cherish. Christmas at Holiday House turned out to be a shining example of the reason for the Season and will definitely tug at your heartstrings.

You already know I’m a huge fan of all of RaeAnne Thayne’s work. There’s something rather magical, though, about the holiday stories she so lovingly creates. And the wonderful book covers that make you just want to walk into the picturesque scenes! It’s easy to see that family, friendship, love, and compassion are important to Thayne–and it’s what makes all the difference in her characters’ lives as those elements are carefully woven throughout each book... This was very enjoyable and sweet. I LOVED the setting - THE HOLIDAY HOUSE! I want to go there. I also really loved Winnie, and Christopher was a cute addition to the story and reminded me of my son. I liked Abby and Ethan a lot, and appreciated having both of their perspectives. One of my fave things in a romance.

I didn't love how Abby's past trauma was kind of glossed over... just a personal preference. I do recognize it had been some time since her husband was killed and she would have probably worked through some aspects of that, but it felt like it was made light of. To only kind of offhand mention it a couple of times felt jarring.

Also, Lucy's perspective really bogged down the story for me. I wasn't invested in her at ALL and wanted to skip her chapters. I know she was the connection between Abby and Ethan, but I didn't need her romance inserted in as well. Should have been a separate book, perhaps a sequel or spinoff or something.

Definitely enjoyed Abby and Ethan, though! Their journey and relationship warmed my heart and was very enjoyable. All the Christmas vibes, the town, the holiday house tour, it was all Christmasy happy perfection. Just could have done without a few things and I would have given it a higher rating.
