It was hot, it was spicy, the audiobook narrators were sexy af… I enjoyed the story… then they had to go and make a strange “transsexual” joke at the end? What the hell? I literally just paused the audio and said “why……”

According to GR I've read this book 3 times. I have read it far, far, far more than that.

Another strong installment in the NA world.

It was pretty much a given that I would like this, considering how much I like both Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen. This does not disappoint!

Extra star because the ending is so doggone adorable.

All I’m saying is it wouldn’t kill this book to be a little less sexist.

I've got to say, as my first hockey romance this certainly didn't disappoint.

The friends to lovers arc was so sweet. The jock bro dynamic was well done. And there was a surprising amount of heart towards the end of the book. Also for a gay romance written by two women I thought the explicit content was actually done quite well and realistically.

The balance between plot and romance could've been a bit better. Like I wish there was just maybe like 25% more plotline outside of the romance itself. Additionally, at times I found the writing to be a bit cheesy/fanfic-y, but I honestly didn't mind it all that much. And I was smiling like an idiot for a lot of it.

Will be picking up the second one soon.

Reread 8/23/24: sometimes I just need a comfort reread and a good dose of Wesmie.

Reread 10/13/23: I'm your guy gave me such Jamie and Wes vibes I couldn't help but jump into a reread of this. God I love Wesmie. Perfection.

Reread 12/28/22: I needed a comfort reread and this was IT.

Reread 5/4/22: continues to be perfect. I love Wesmie!

Reread 12/1/2020 - LOVE. Jamie and Wes are perfect and I'm so glad I reread.

Immediate reaction: loved Jamie and Wes!!

Oh holy wow!

This book popped my m/m romance cherry and blew me away. I guess you could say pun intended...totally steamy and swoonworthy. Ryan and Jamie were so great together, and I loved how they found themselves with each other. It gave me all the feels and I couldn't put it down. So many tropes that I love and a great story.
Won't be the last book I read by these authors.
