This was a truly amazing graphic novel. Geoff Johns finds a way to come back from the terrible place we left Hal Jordan--having destroyed all hope and credibility. He destroyed Coast City, became a murderer, but do we know the whole story?

What might have been seen as gratuitous retcon is actually well planned, pitch-perfect storytelling. Well done!

Geoff John's Green Lantern is amazing. It's kind of a jump from Emerald Dawn I and II considering the Parallax storyline & possible lack of knowledge of other GL's besides Hal Jordan. But I got through it and teared up a bit because I'm a baby.

Eeeeesto era lo que necesitaba.

I like Green Lantern, but this didn't thrill me.

My first jump into both DC comics and Green Lantern is a success! Not knowing much about green lantern hurt me starting off, but this is a pretty good starting place. Overall, a fun book and sets up the apparently epic story of Geoff John’s run well. Excited to keep reading!

Hal is just the worst.

realy good

I would die for Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner.

As much as I give firm approval to anyone and anything punching Batman in the face, I wanted to enjoy this more than I did.

Granted - it does have some great moments. The big Sinestro battle was appropriately epic, but some of the artwork (especially one of the Lanterns actively *posing* like an artist while using his ring to help defeat Parallax) was hideous.

I think I may keep going with this in future. A lot of it may have been the starting point where I was. Not so much that this is a bad place to pick up, but the end of the Parallax thing may have been a rough patch for the story on a whole. That I don't know.

I'll say this much, though - it hasn't lessened my interest in the Green Lantern universe at all, and did keep my interest enough to try and figure out what's next. So that's worth something.
