The Mysterious Stranger: The Short Story with Satan: 5 stars. The Mysterious Stranger: The Novel with No. 44: 3 stars. The latter shares most of the themes of the shorter version, but includes a story and a quasi-Freudian layer you didn't ask for. The short story remains outstanding.

Nothing much was there there it it to write a review really, it was short and didn't have much of a plot. It was okayish read, it sounded bitter at times but made sense sometimes too, was definitely shallow at times and was lacking in logic or atleast if the main character has some kind of critical thinking he could have tried countering "Satan's" point. But hey let's not diss much on Mark Twain when he didn't even get a chance to finish or go through it again, think if each of our idea was published without polish, that would be horrible (quite like this).
