I am very picky on my thrillers because I have read so many, I need one that is going to just shock me. I want one where I can’t guess the ending or guess what’s going on in the book. I didn’t fully guess the ending and I was still shocked because of what happened with all the main characters. I was kinda shocked this is a young adult thriller for some of the more obscure stuff that happened in the book. I listened to this one on audio and I think that’s why I enjoyed it a bit more. I like the way the author kept the story flowing between all the characters and I felt like I was in their head. I wasn’t just going day by day and guessing. I will say the ending did have me shocked and I didn’t fully see it coming. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite, but I would read more by Megan!

I could not put this book down. It was intense from start to finish.
The story is told from the perspective of two characters. Our FMC is unknown for a majority of the book. She wakes up in a ditch, badly hurt, not remembering who she is or what’s going on. She’s found by a police officer and eventually released into the custody of a man that claims to be her dad. Our MMC, or Drew, is the boyfriend of Lola Scott, a missing teen. The whole town is convinced Drew is responsible for Lola’s disappearance because “it’s always the boyfriend”. Drew is staying try to his story, saying he was not involved, and he will stop at nothing to find Lola.
