I could not get through this book. I started it after seeing it on tiktok because it was constantly recommended as a book girls should read in their twenties. I didn’t realize until starting it that the author is a 26 year old woman who seems to copy work from others and fluff it up with her own input.
audiobook - 2.5 stars - oh boy, i have so many thoughts. first of all, probably important to mention that i listened to this whole book in a short span of time; i think it could be more impactful/valuable if it were read a few essays at a time. second, there were a few nuggets of wisdom in here that i did appreciate. however, my main impressions are that this was incredibly repetitive and privileged, and kind of blame-focused... and i was rolling my eyes about it way more often than i was finding value in it.
It isn’t a book to finish but rather open everyday and choose a line to feel good about life and choices kind of book.
I enjoyed this, but found much of the information to be things I already follow or do. Perhaps if I had been able to read it when I was younger it would have helped me more. I would recommend you read it.

I read this as an audiobook. When I first started listening, I thought it provided great thoughts/truths about happiness, perspective, and life. However, a lot of the chapter repeat the same message and most of the them are bullet point lists instead of explanation on points brought up. I do recommend this book for people to remember that it’s the little things that actually make up our lives and to live in the present, but, again it’s pretty repetitive.
