4.75

Giving this a 4.75 just because at the beginning of the book, I really couldn’t connect well with it (or maybe it was bc I was that I was going through a slump, idk) but the beginning of the book really did feel slow and I felt like I could somewhat see and predict. (Even tho I have not read anything yet that was VERY predictable lol) I just didn’t have the uputownable urge un the beginning of the book; didn’t get hooked. (— but again, i thinknit was my mood that was more to blame for it)

BUT when I hit the 50% mark, I was hooked. (Tho life got busy and got in the way of my reading) and I finally managed to finish the book. Took me long enough, I know but I HAVE changed my mind from 3-4.75 stars!!!

And at the end the book really gave that double twist-take!!! The plotting of the story was so good, and the writing as well. This book definitely felt different than the other thriller books I have read so far.— this dabbled on the horror side if you ask me; not entirely physiological 🫣

Sager does it again, where I think I’ve maybe got it figured out, and then he throws in a twist! This one has a few - some more believable than others.
