One year after his wife’s disappearance, Grady goes to a remote Scottish island for a writing retreat—and thinks he sees his wife there.
I LOVED this one. The entire plot is wildly twisted and full of multiple incredible reveals—some of which I figured out and some I couldn’t begin to guess. And that final page?!?!?! My mind was blown and I was internally screaming—absolute perfection.
I read a fair amount of thrillers and to be honest it takes a lot to surprise or thrill me these days and this one absolutely delivered. Also the meta moment of the “hidden message” (IYKYK)…Alice Feeney, you are a GENIUS.

The big reveal was not incredibly enticing to me either. This story felt like it was lacking something to really bring it all together but I’m not sure what exactly that was.
I will say that I enjoyed the little Easter egg that Feeney put in with the chapters. (This will make sense when you get to the end of the book). I also appreciated the sense of community between women in this book.
