An apt conclusion to what I think is the Asmodeus storyline, I thought the book was the best one yet of the Felix Castor Exorcism. I love how it brought in all of Castor’s allies, rivals, and true enemies to get in on the action. And I thought the way they handled Asmodeus was pitch perfect—fraught with heavy action, heavy tenseness, and heavy losses. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I can’t wait to move to the sixth book as it’s been out for a year and I’ve been saving it until I get through the re-read of the books I’ve already been through.

Disappointing. I loved the previous books in the series. He didn't seem to have as much character development. I liked Felix working with the scientist group(can't think of their name). Asmodeus was disappointing.
The series seemed to pretty much get wrapped up with this book. I originally thought there were supposed to be five books. But, I read about a #6 book on websites. Maybe it's a NEW Felix Castor storyline, though.

A good read if not quite as good as the previous installment. More of a mystery thriller than dark horror. The last one had Felix dealing with past issues with others in this he moves forward/back on his own personal growth. I gave it a 7.5/10 on my personal scale.

It's been some time since visiting Felix Castor and his world and I don't know what took me so long. It's especially excellent listening to the story. I liked that it takes place in England but the narrator didn't worry too much about accents. It did not diminish the story's draw at all.
It's a busy story, plenty of action and it's exhausting but Felix needs to do what he can to help his friend who has been posssessed by a demon.
It's the kind of story that had me staying -in -the -parking -lot -almost-late-for-work to listen to what was going to happen next.

At one point in this book, I found myself actually skipping ahead to see what happens to one of the characters, because I didn't want it to be something bad. I think that says a lot about this book, and the Felix Castor series as a whole.
I saw a reference to a possible sixth book, but that was supposed to be out in 2011, so maybe it's just not happening. And you know, I'm okay with it if there isn't another one. While this book didn't answer ALL of the questions, it wraps up in such a way that it serves as a good series end if need be.
This is one of the best urban fantasy series out, and you really ought to read it if you can.
