I thought this was sweet but I would have liked the romance to build a bit more. I wasn’t entirely invested because it moved so quickly. I’m not a huge fan of the insta-love/insta-lust trope.

What I did like was the Palestinian representation!! It wasn’t a huge focus but it was briefly discussed throughout.

This was a fun romance with some unexpected twists. I loved that Leela was an author seeking to find her own way in the world even when it was frowned up for women to do so. And I love how she teaches Elliot that there is more to life than just following the rules. Overall an engaging and exciting romance!

i really enjoyed this historical romance. it wasn’t like any i have read before. i loved the whole aspect of her being arabic and that playing into her identity. the mmc was also kind of grumpy but i liked how they ended up working through their differences. i loved the fmc, she was such a strong female character.

At first I didn’t know if I would enjoy the premise but I truly did enjoy the story. Hunt and Leela’s story was unconventional. It was also very angsty. This was an emotional roller coaster but worth all the ups and downs. The authors use of family and friend added to the book. I enjoyed the interactions of the characters.

This is a new author for me. I enjoyed her writing style.
I could not put this book down.

There were some times throughout this book where I was not a fan of Hunt. I did really love Leela and Victoria. I appreciate how things were wrapped up, but the third act break up felt a bit unnecessary.
