Amnesia /Cheating
1/5🌶️
Was the writing objectively good? Yes. Would I ever recommend this book to someone? No.
Where is the proper grovelling? The grand gesture? Because you would think if there's cheating, those other two elements would be there too, but they weren't and I feel so disappointed.
So Olivia and Bennett are divorcing because he cheated on her and the heartbreak of that with other stuff they were going through was just too much for Olivia. 6 months later he gets in an accident and since his doctor is one of his friends and Olivia is still legally his wife, she gets a call, well turns out that Bennett was temporary memory loss, so to help him heal Olivia agrees to let him move in with her again, yeah their chemistry never went away, they love each other blaah blah blah, but when Bennett should be grovelling his acting like a caveman, he is not fully transparent with her and I just wish he was better, this book could have been great, but honestly I only finished it because it was an audiobook and I was doing other stuff and zoning out sometimes.

What a beautiful hartbreaking story.
I definitely recommend this book!

1st re-read:
The first time I read this book, things were very simple for me. He was wrong and she was the victim. But rereading this now that I'm a couple years older, I feel like this relationship was far more complex than I originally thought.

Also, I forgot how hot this book was! Omg, so much spice! I'm not complaining or anything but it's worth mentioning.

4.25 stars. This book was so different than others I’ve read. It starts off with Olivia in the hospital because her soon to be ex husband Bennett was in a car accident. They were about 60 days from a divorce and hadn’t lived together in a few months bc Bennett cheated. Later in the book you come to find out that they’d had 2 miscarriages and Olivia ‘shut down’ and was a shell of herself. Anyways Bennett wakes up from his coma after his accident and it’s almost as if 2 years ago is where they are and that’s where his memory stops. He has no recollection of the last 2 years and is treating Olivia the same as he would and then Olivia and Wren (Bennett friend & doc) tell him what happened. During his recovery Bennett has to stay with Olivia for a sense of normalcy and does everything he can to win Olivia back. The spice was good, the story line was good. Great book.

DID NOT FINISH: 28%

Dnf @ 28%, the mmc had cheated on the fmc due to some unknown, at this point in the story, reason. After reading some other reviews the reasoning for the cheating didn’t really seem justified and I can’t imagine being okay with the mmc after the reasoning.
