I’m not going to lie, I never thought i’d say this but…there was too much smut. There I said it. I skipped like all but the first scene because omg I WANTED EMOTION AND ANGST and all I got was horny people who didn’t really resolve anything? Maybe I went into this expecting something more than I should of but I just feel so disappointed. The characters were 2D and I felt like I didn’t care if they repaired their marriage or not…which like isn’t that the point of reading a book like this?

Emotional rollercoaster.

Oh my gawd! This book took me all over the emotional spectrum which totally surprised. Yes, there was cheating and it is a super angsty and heartbreaking story. But. It. Was. Amazing.

I want to add that I borrowed this from KU. I wasn’t asked to review nor did I receive an ARC. I saw this in another author’s newsletter and decided to give it a try. I’ll definitely be following this author to see what else she has for me!

Well that was a wild ride... Sadly i found it rushed - especially the second half - the plot is actually really good but the majority of thw book is them having sex or talking about sex. We saw a few real scenes which were rushed and suddenly more sex scenes.

Don't get me wrong they're hot and all but i was hoping for more story for the actual storyline. Like them going on dates, them finding out the pregnancy, the day the baby was born... I'd rather have that than all the sex sometimes

I feel like throughout the whole book everyone was gaslighting the Heroine. Bennett was so annoying.

Ok I officially love Livi and Clarke. The angst, the spice, the tension! All of it was amazing. This second chance romance really dug into real marriage and relationship problems and didn’t just have a magic fix because that’s not how life works. They really had to rebuild trust and decide what kind of future they both could live with. I could always do with an extended epilogue because I’m just that girl, but honestly this story was the perfect length that took its time but didn’t drag itself out too long.

Even though the subject matter may not be to everyone's taste, I still enjoyed this book.
I have to say if I was Olivia I would not have forgiven Bennet, but overall this book was a good read.

I didn’t expect to love this one as much as I did. But this book blew me away and I loved it very much. Bennett did some bad things that he really couldn’t have but I did forgive him in the end. Olivia was determined to not forgive him in the beginning as it did almost break her. The relationship evolved lots during this book so.
QB Tyler is definitely becoming one of my fave authors quickly.
