This book felt like such a fairytale. It was magical and wondrous, and the world was so immersive. Every word felt like poetry and every character was so complex. I love how everything culminated together toward the end. I loved the way it dealt with themes of sorrow and grief and breaking harmful cycles, but also managed to be hopeful and full of love. The pace was consistent throughout and plotlines were set up and woven through in such an expert way. I really enjoyed my experience reading this. This is a perfect book for younger readers, but its also a perfect book for older ones too.

Loved how everything in the ending connected together, love all the emotions you feel throughout the book; sadness, confusion, compassion, and scared etc

It was well written, but lots of change of narrator. There was just something missing…

Wow, what a wonderful book! The Girl Who Drank the Moon has become one of my favorite stories ever. There's a fairy-tale vibe that flows throughout the novel with lovely characters filling the pages. The best way I can describe this story is that it has the beauty of a Hayao Miyazaki film and the humor and energy found in the Disney Renaissance. A wonderful combination. This tale is all heart and full of magic. A definite must-read.

While it started out pretty dark, this book was also filled with love and light. It was intense, but not too terrifying. I was also in love with the enchanting language the author used to describe the wonderous world in the book.

I loved this book ❤️
