Pretty funny, great narrator, but I had trouble staying interested for some reason.

I like the idea of a pack with different kinds of Shifters, and having Rowan completely unused to that side of himself was really cool and a lot of the times hilarious. Him and Quinn had great chemistry and I really liked them.

The plot itself was a little more meh. And I guess this is a series you need to read in its entirety because nothing got explained or resolved, and instead it ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger. Not sure I'll keep reading to find out what's happening though.

So good!!!

I'd been waiting for book 2 to come out before I started this baby because I knew I wouldn't want to stop once I started it. Rowan and Quinn were awesome. They were funny with the usual Alice Winters humor, and they were so sweet together. All those times Rowan went 'cat' on Quinn were my favorite.

This was so much more fun than I was expecting. Humorous but still serious and with an intriguing plot. Really, there was no way I wasn't going to love this book. I'm really looking forward to the next one--I'd like to see how this wraps up.

Audio was phenomenal - Greg really is amazing!!

This wasn’t my fave Alice book. I miss the quirkiness and banter and just strange/weirdness she often writes. It brings me joy and it’s hilarious. This was much more serious.

The overarching themes of bigotry and ignorance were so well done. It really highlighted how we often allow ourselves to perpetuate false stereotypes due to our own ignorance and fear.

Most of this novel felt like the set up for true story, not just Rowan’s secret. That being said, i did appreciate getting the deeper dive into the pack’s dynamic and Quinn as the alpha.

This is not steamy. There is lots of emotion here but very little spice. You do get a great story tho.

Book by itself is a 3.5, but decided to round up because the audiobook is well done. Also I'll gladly listen to the next one when it comes out, as I'm interested to see where things go.
