This was such a delightful story, and listening to it on audio was so lovely! The friendship dynamics were perfect, the cameos of characters from Imogen, Obviously were everything to me, and the portrayal of a parasocial relationship was done so beautifully it almost hurt.
This story was so relatable to me in the aspect of loving someone you don’t know so much that a bond is formed which few people understand the intensity of it. I’ve had several musicians and YouTubers who I’ve connected with and they’ve changed my life with the words they’ve written/said and the experiences/feelings they’ve shared. It is a connection and relationship that feels so vulnerable and sacred to me. Seeing it portrayed so perfectly in this book held a special kind of nostalgia for me, and I hope others find a sense of relatability or joy from it.

This book was really not for me. As someone who’s never shipped real people or has been very invested in the life of celebrities/internet personalities, I found that part of the story very unrelatable and the discourse downright unreadable and super cringe. Very hard to get through.
The love story seemed more like an afterthought.

This book absolutely did not disappoint - it was exactly what I needed.
It's light, YA and super sweet. It follows a teenage girl (bisexual) who is obsessed with an online celebrity. There is a meet and greet announced and her best friends go on a road trip with her to meet him. But... there might be a bit of love and obsession closer to home, and circumstances aren't always what they seem...
Lots of fun, love, laughter and real vibrant friendship as well as beautiful and sweet moments of blossoming romance. One I will reread if ever there comes a time where I need a metaphorical hug!

So happy to see another book in the Imogenverse, but I did not enjoy this one nearly as much. The romance didn't come until the very end and it kind of came out of nowhere for the characters (particularly Amelia) although it's obvious early on to the reader who is romantically interested in who.
The plot was more focused on online discourse around internet personalities and parasocial relationships, as well as the nuances of being queer. Amelia, although I was rooting for her a lot, was so frustrating! The way she joked about everything, how she kept insulting Nat's previous partners, etc.
I loved the friendship group in this book just as much as I liked the one in Imogen, Obviously, and I'm really happy we got to see Imogen and Tessa again! I listened to the audiobook but I think I want to read a physical copy the next time around.
