This was a slow read. I like that the girl doesn't have sex with anyone in this story. It would be truly terrible if she had lost her V to one of these jerks. I have hope that she forgives Zack. Sure he was terrible, but atleast he feels remorse. She also needs an Allie. At the very least she could use him for revenge. He owes her. The bullying was mostly mild until the last chapter.

This book is the epitome of “revenge is best served cold”
The topic of this book is sexy bullies right? so you expect sexy guys and girls who are mean right?
Well fucking hell do you get it. These guys are hot but jesus are they cruel. And the girls are sadistic. Honestly I’m so glad its a fiction book cause I’d be terrified to be in a school like this.
Yano when you watch horror movies and you know the main character should not do something as shit is clearly about to hit the fan. This is like that. Marnye bless her heart has a thick skin but is down right stoopid sometimes
Plus she falls for “the Idols” - the guys that bully her. Even though she knows she shouldnt. She like falls so hard in love its embarrassing

TW: Bullying
A classic high school bully series, and I’m all for these types of dramatic books!! (In no way am I trying to encourage bullying, I understand that it’s a serious matter... if you’re easily offended by these types of books, then steer clear of this one!)
Marnye Reed comes from a low income family and receives a scholarship fund to attend Burberry Prep Academy. She’s worked very hard and is an extremely determined girl.
The only problem? All Burberry Prep students come from money - old money, new money, whatever money.
And they strongly believe that Marnye does not belong at their school.
Tristan, Creed, and Zayd AKA the Idols, go out of their way to make Marnye’s life hell, w/ the help of their entourage. What they don’t know is that Marnye’s life before Burberry Prep was already hell, and she came out of there 10x stronger.
Will the Burberry Prep students beat Marnye down, or will she stay standing and hold her ground?
I enjoyed this book so much and I can’t wait to read the next books in this series, to find out what will happen next!

filthy rich boys, while a really wonderful idea in theory, was not a favorite of mine by any means. I hated marnye, and I found the repetitive mentioning of how she’s a “fierce lgbt ally” and “comes from the other side of the tracks” a really cheap shot at inclusion, while instead making stereotypical and ill-fitting comments about it. other than that, I did enjoy this book, but I probably would have loved it if I was like 12.
3.5
Looking back now, I did quite like it. It just seems unlikely (yes, I do understand it is fiction) . First off, they're all supposed to be fifteen. First, awkward. Second, hell no. In my mind they were at least eighteenth because it makes more sense.
Also, I know this is a first book but I felt like we didn't know a whole lot of the guys as people, even when the main character had spent a whole year with them. I get this is a series of character development but I really wished I had seen something that had drawn me to them. Something that would make me want to forgive them. I just don't particularly.
But it was very entertaining and I am looking for forward to see what happens next!
