I'm confused about my feelings for this book???
So I just read my first ever bully romance and I'm very confused about the term 'bully romance'. This book was brutal. It took me right back to my school days and the inescapable atmosphere of being at school. Remember when it seemed like people not liking you was the end of the world? And I was never bullied anywhere as much as Maryne is in this book! It was a tense read, man!
Question: when does the romance happen? And by romance, I mean romance between two consenting people, and not involving someone who has been bullying another person and making their life a living hell?? Because these guys were fucking douchebags. And I don't consider any of this book romantic in any way. Also, how are these kids supposed to be 15-16 years old? No fucking way. They come across as 18+ for sure, and it's weird to be reading about these teenagers doing this kind of shit and then realising how old they're supposed to be.
But despite that, I COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK DOWN. Why did it draw me in so much? Why did I enjoy it? Why could I feel sexual tension? Why was I expecting so much more sex, and possibly even a gangbang/reverse harem situation? Again: WHY DID I ENJOY IT?
This book has definitely been a guilty pleasure read for me... and I kinda wanna finish the series..

This book was hard to read I literally just skimmed it. Like I was literally physically recoiling and wincing everytime omg.
THERE IS NOTHING ROMANTIC ABOUT ANY OF THIS NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL !!! IF SHE ENDS UP WITH ANY OF THEM I WILL LOSE IT!!!

I had a hard time thinking of these characters as being in high school. I know for a bully romance to work they basically need to be in high school - but they way the boys were described especially made that hard to believe.
However, I did enjoy this book. I flew through this story. Marnye is a little bit impossible and definitely naive when it comes to the Idols which was a little hard to get passed. I mean they tormented her for months, never apologize, and she thinks they are becoming friends. Uh, no?
Side note: that prologue kinda ruined the story. Obviously going into it I knew it was a bully romance, but it literally gave away the whole last prank and end of the story... I don't know.
I cannot wait to see Marnye wreck these spoiled little rich kids in the second one.

I was really interested in this book when it was announced. Let me tell you with good reason, cause it was freaking awesome. Is going to make you want to hit someone, cry and then hit some again but I honestly can’t wait to read the second book.
Also I would love to have some POVs from the guys. Cause I can’t with the final chapter. I was about to cry with her too because I couldn’t believe it.

I have no idea what I just read but JESUS FUCKIN' CHRIST THIS WAS TORTURE! SAVE YOURSELF! LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES! DON'T READ THIS GARBAGE! If you want a Bully story, read Bully by Penelope Douglas or Vicious by LJ Shen.
