It kept me entertained but I hated the “insta-love” aspect and felt like the plot was all over the place.

The not communicating with each other infuriated me. JUST TELL THE OTHER ABOUT YOUR THOUGHTS ALREADY. Listening to this on audiobook, I felt like I was hearing the same thing over and over and I wasn’t that invested

Her not confessing to the letter multiple times is what got me though. She had so many chances to say that she was the admirer and she didn’t. It doesn’t matter if your personalities are so different, it never hurts to try.

It's not "It Happened One Summer", but it's still a great Tessa Bailey!

Definitely my least favorite Tessa Bailey, but still a fun time. I usually prefer more angst in my romances and this felt a little bland and underdeveloped. The sequel is enemies-to-lovers though (my FAVVVVVORITE!!!!) so I'm gonna pick that one up for sure still. We got a sneak peek of the couple in here and I'm living for how much they hate each other.

Also, you cannot convince me that this man stuck one little finger inside this girl's coochie and knew she was a virgin?? Like most men can't even find the vag and this dude put his finger inside her and was all, "Oh my god... You're a.. a... a... VIRGIN?!???" Like, be so for real. Plus it felt like slut shaming in a way? Or glorifying virginity in a weird sense. Like wow, she's soooo tight and precious cause she's a virgin??? Even us hoes 1. have that gorilla grip and 2. deserve to be treated extra special. Don't get it twisted :) So that whole scene was icky to me.

Def a Bella x Edward fanfic. The whole
losing her virginity part was so rushed, very fanfic

Rosalie sister, and she gets her Emmett in the background.

It was very frustrating how poor their communication was. Like I get the "why", but I could not stand it. Like
guess you broke up?! And just mourn that. I wanted to dnf round then. But didn't have lots left on audio

The spice is okay, some good scenes, but some cringe ones that made me laugh. Not 100% positive it was supposed to be funny, but it was to me.

I love books where everything works out, but this one didn't quite hit that spot. It didn't feel like Mr. Darcy levels of 'I will go and fix this on my own. With or without me I will improve your life.' And instead opportunities to do the right thing fell into Edwards, ahem I mean Julian's lap.

Not terrible, but definitely not Tessa's best. Could have used some more beta reader feed back, ahem I mean editor work.

The contrast between the two characters was so incredibly exaggerated as to feel unrealistic and became distracting.
